The story, in one paragraph
Trove is the work of a solo founder who kept losing the things he saved: the recipe talked through in a TikTok, the café buried in a month of Reels, the link he swore he'd read. The apps for saving hadn't caught up with what saving became, which is mostly videos and posts whose useful parts are spoken rather than written, on platforms with no way to search your own saves. So he built an AI that actually reads a save. It watches the video, transcribes the audio, pulls out the recipe or the place or the product, files it, and then answers questions from your own library, citing the exact save. Trove launched on the App Store on July 1, 2026, as a free download.

Feature summary
- Reads every save: videos watched and transcribed; articles summarized; recipes, places, products, tutorials, reviews, and songs detected automatically with their details extracted.
- Ask Trove: plain-English questions answered from the user's own saves, never the open internet, with the exact source save cited.
- Zero-effort organization: auto-categorization, collections, related saves linked automatically, search by meaning, saved places grouped into trip suggestions with maps.
- Capture: share sheet from any app, or copy a link and Trove offers to keep it on open. Recipes get Cook Mode and a send-to-Reminders shopping list; places get hours, price level, and one-tap directions.
- Resurfacing: the right save resurfaces at the right moment, plus a Monthly Recap, Home Screen widgets, and an Explore feed (contribution can be turned off).
- Ownership: in-app export (JSON, CSV, Markdown) and in-app account deletion.

Brand notes
- The app is called Trove (full App Store name: TroveAI: Save Anything & Ask). Please don't describe it as a "video saver" or a downloader. It's a universal save-anything app, and it doesn't download videos; it saves and reads links the user shares.
- Brand colors: gold #F2B13C on neutral ink #101014. The mark is a flat 2D treasure chest; the small four-point spark (✦) is the only other brand glyph.
- Please state pricing accurately: free download with 100 free credits; Trove Pro $2.99/month or $19.99/year; no free trial.
